Girchi party MP: Ivanishvili is the one who owes an apology

Bidzina Ivanishvili is the one who owes an apology, for his statement, – Girchi party MP Sandro Rakviashvili said, claiming that the family members of the fallen soldiers and the population have nothing to apologize for, because Russia attacked Georgia.

“We, soldiers, family members of fallen soldiers and the population have nothing to apologize for when Russia attacked us. Ivanishvili owes an apology for this statement. If this does not happen, hopefully, the Georgian people will properly evaluate these and many other statements and actions, the only purpose of which is to somehow increase strife and tension in society, in order to perhaps retain power in this conflict. In fact, it seems that everything can be sacrificed in order to get results in the elections. Hopefully, the voters will see all this and will evaluate it properly on October 26,” Rakviashvili said.

On September 14, at the regional meeting of Georgian Dream in Gori, Bidzina Ivanishvili said that after holding the National Movement accountable for “igniting” the August war, “Georgians must apologize” for the fact that this party “set our Ossetian brothers and sisters on fire in 2008.”
