Giorgi Margvelashvili: On February 24, we must gather to show the world the will of Georgian people

“On February 24, we must gather in order to once again show the world the desire and will of the Georgian people, who are different from the Georgian Government, that we stand by them and that Georgia, as a unity of free and worthy people, deserves full membership of the European family,” the fourth president of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili wrote on his Facebook page.

Margvelashvili calls the public to come to the rally scheduled for February 24.

“Today, a historic process is taking place in Ukraine and Europe – the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people against Russian aggression. It is necessary to express our support to the Ukrainian people, to the fighters who stopped the Russian aggression and gave them a proper response.

“I would like to express special respect to the Georgian fighters who protect not only the freedom of Ukraine, but also the freedom and dignity of Georgia.

“We must gather on February 24 to once again show the world the desire and will of the Georgian people, who are different from the Georgian Government, that we stand by them and that Georgia, as a unity of free and worthy people, deserves full membership of the European family.

“That is why, for the solidarity of Ukraine, we are waiting for you all on February 24, at 19:00 on Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi.

The truth will win!

Unity will win!

Georgia will win!” Margvelashvili declared.
