Former Prime Minister of Georgia and Chair of the For Georgia party, Giorgi Gakharia, will participate in the Munich Security Conference (MSC) on February 13–15, where he is scheduled to hold meetings with senior political officials from the United States and European Union member states.
The Munich Security Conference is one of the world’s most significant international forums, bringing together heads of state, top policymakers, and leading experts each year to discuss global security challenges and foreign policy issues.
The conference is widely regarded as the most important annual event in the field of international security, where key discussions help shape the contours of the emerging global order.
This year’s participants include US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and other world leaders.
Gakharia is the only representative from the Georgian opposition invited to the conference who will hold face-to-face meetings with European leaders during the event.
The Munich Security Conference serves as a central platform for high-level dialogue on geopolitical tensions, transatlantic relations, regional conflicts, and the future architecture of global security.
