Giga Bokeria was elected as the chairman of the party at the European Georgia congress by a majority of votes.
Akaki Bobokhidze was elected as the Secretary General, Gigi Tsereteli as Chairman of the Political Board and Giorgi Kandelaki as the Political Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
It was announced today that former chairman Davit Bakradze and Secretary General Gigi Ugulava had left the party.
“It is unfortunate that our former teammates are not with us today, I consider it a sad and wrong decision,” Bokeria stated.
He noted that the former teammates made the decision to leave the party at a difficult time.
