Federal Minister of the Interior and Community of Germany, Nancy Faeser, will visit Georgia along with Joachim Stamp, the Special Commissioner for Migration Agreements, the German Embassy in Georgian reported.
The visit aims to sign a bilateral migration agreement with Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri.
German Minister says the agreement seeks to enhance the existing successful cooperation in returning illegally staying citizens to their home countries, describing it as “another step towards the reduction of illegal migration”.
The Embassy claims that the agreement will facilitate seasonal employment, create targeted opportunities for employment of Georgian citizens in Germany, and strengthen collaboration in specialist education.
