The German Bundestag’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman, Michael Roth, is on his farewell tour in Georgia.
“Finally back in town. Tbilisi – the true capital of Europe,” Roth shared on social media.
Roth announced the visit earlier: “I’m looking forward to my farewell trip to Georgia. I’d like to support all committed Europeans, and freedom fighters, and say goodbye to my friends as a German politician.”
Roth emphasized his uncompromising support for Georgia’s European goals, saying, “Even though my parliamentary mandate is ending soon, I’ll continue my commitment to a free Georgia in the heart of the EU.”
