The value of export in January-March 2021 increased by 5.3% reaching $821.1 million, the latest data by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) shows.
The report notes that the External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $2 773.5 million in January-March 2021, 0.3% lower year-on-year.
The value of export increased by 5.3% reaching $821.1 million, while the import decreased by 2.4%
and amounted to $1 952.4 million.
The trade deficit equaled $1 131.4 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 40.8%.
