The Georgian national rugby team defeated the Netherlands on Saturday with a score of 31:3 at the Rugby Europe Championship in Tbilisi.
Under the leadership of their new British coach, Richard Cockerill, the team demonstrated a robust offensive strategy resulting in five successful tries. Giorgi Kveseladze scored two tries, while Mikheil Babunashvili, Akaki Tabutsadze, and Ilia Spanderashvili each added one. Luka Matkava contributed three conversions, solidifying the Lelos’ lead. The Dutch team scored only a single penalty kick.
As the tournament progresses, the Lelos are preparing to face Spain on February 18 in Tbilisi.
