The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) released Georgia’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), revealing a 0.7% increase in November, with an annual inflation rate of 1.3%.
Primary factors in the annual inflation rate are as follows:
- Food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 3.1%
- Alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 5.1%
- Communication decreased by 12.9%
- Housing, utilities decreased by 3.7%
- Miscellaneous goods increased by 6.6%.
Such considerable declines in communication and housing counterbalances rising prices of food and beverages, Geostat claims.
