Georgia exported locally produced goods worth $224.4 million in January 2021, which is 16.2% lower compared to the same period in 2020, announced the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
“The share of the domestic exports in total export constituted 74.1 % and amounted to $166.4 million, 6.4% lower year-on-year,” says Geostat.
Georgia’s top trading parnters in January 2021 were Bulgaria ($26.7 million), China ($25.3 million) and Turkey ($20.6 million).
Copper ores and concentrates topped the list of export items, constituting 29.9% ($49.7 million) of total exports.
“The exports of ferroalloys totaled $23.3 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 14.0%. The exports of natural or artificial mineral and aerated waters occupied the third place standing at USD 8.8 million and constituting 5.3% of the total exports,” reported Geostat.
