Georgian honey, produced by Koda agriculture cooperative “Honey from Ninotsminda-Alpida,” won the highest platinum medal at the London Honey Awards 2023 annual competition.
This year, over 250 honey producers participated in the competition. The Koda agriculture cooperative was established in 2017 within the framework of the low-rate Agro-credit program by four beekeepers. It unites 11 members, among them four women.
In 2018-2021, Koda introduced the HACCP standard, and the company-produced honey has complied with both Georgian and European quality and safety requirements since 2018.
The competition aims to inform honey-growers, producers, beekeepers, processors, and standardized product legal retailers to preserve and improve the quality of their branded products by promoting high-quality honey products in every aspect of the spectrum of its use and consumption.
