Georgia’s external trade turnover amounted to $10 billion in January-September 2021, which is 22.3% higher compared to the same period of the last year, shows preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
The value of export increased by 24.0% reaching USD 2 981.3 million, while the import increased by 21.6%
and amounted to USD 7 028.4 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 4 047.1 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 40.4%.
Detailed data on the external merchandise trade of Georgia will be published on 19 October, 2021, announced Geostat.
