The Georgian basketball team, for the first time in history, will play at FIBA Basketball World Cup.
The Georgian national team played a qualifying match against the Icelandic national team and lost 77-80. It was enough to lock up third place in Group L of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers.
The Basketball World Cup will be held in August-September 2023 in three countries: Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
