The Georgian Ambassador to Turkey, Giorgi Janjghava, reported that all citizens of Georgia, who were considered missing as a result of the earthquake in Turkey, have been found. Janjghava stated that two citizens of Georgia died as a result of the earthquake.
“Unfortunately, two of our citizens have died. We are in contact with our citizens as much as possible. We found practically all of those who went missing, including our football players. It is very difficult to enter that area, so I call on everyone to reach us and let us know, here they are, how they are,” noted Janjghava.
A powerful earthquake has hit a wide area in south-eastern Turkey, near the Syrian border. As a result of the earthquake, the number of dead has exceeded 2,920, and more than 15,800 people have been injured.
