Georgia’s Rural Development Agency has presented its 2026 plan for participation in major international trade exhibitions, outlining opportunities for Georgian agri-food producers to promote their products abroad and expand export markets.
The plan was introduced at a meeting attended by Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Lasha Dolidze, Rural Development Agency Director Zurab Gozalishvili, agency representatives and companies operating in the agri-food sector.
In 2026, the agency plans to organize Georgian national pavilions at 11 international exhibitions across 10 countries. Notably, Georgia will participate for the first time in several main markets, including the Saudi Food Show in Saudi Arabia, Anuga India in India and Hospitality Qatar in Qatar.
Participants at the meeting discussed state support mechanisms increasing the visibility of Georgian agri-food products on international trade platforms and diversifying export destinations. These mechanisms include both financial assistance and non-financial support, such as access to modern expertise, guidance on entering new markets and strengthening positions in existing export markets.
Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze emphasized that the Ministry, through the Rural Development Agency, continues to support both primary agricultural production and food processing industries. He noted that feedback received from producers will be used to refine and improve state support tools in the future.
Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency Giorgi Avaliani provided a detailed overview of participation requirements, selection criteria and the range of support services available to companies taking part in international exhibitions.
The agency stated that Georgia will be represented at exhibitions in Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, China, India, Qatar, Spain and the United States.
