The Minister of Health Zurab Azarashvili reported the special coronavirus treatment medicine Paxlovid is to arrive in Georgia this week.
“This week we will get covid treatment medicine, Paxlovid, created by Pfizer. Several countries in the world have this medicine and I am very happy that Georgia will be one of them. The medicine will be given free of charge to those who have chronic diseases and severe forms of coronavirus. It is necessary to take the medication within the first five days after infection,” the minister said.
Azarasvhili noted he prefers doses and price to remain confidential because they have a non-disclosure contract.
