Following the crash of a passenger plane traveling from Baku to Grozny, the Georgian Foreign Ministry expressed condolences to Azerbaijan. The plane, which crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau during an emergency landing, carried 67 people, 62 of them passengers and 5 crew members.
“We would like to express our sincere condolences and profound sympathy to the government and the people of friendly Azerbaijan,” the Ministry stated on social media. “At this difficult time, Georgia stands in solidarity with strategic partner Azerbaijan. We wish those injured a speedy recovery.”
Reports reveal that 32 people have survived; however, no further details have been disclosed.
