The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture has revealed that Georgia has recorded its largest grape harvest in 30 years, with 330,000 tons of grapes processed as of October 23, 2025. The record-breaking yield was produced by 21,200 winegrowers across the country.
The Kakheti region, Georgia’s leading wine-producing area, continues to dominate national production, accounting for 323,000 tons of the total harvest. This includes approximately 170,000 tons of Rkatsiteli and 134,000 tons of Saperavi, alongside smaller quantities of other grape varieties. Harvesting activities remain ongoing in several Kakhetian municipalities, particularly Sagarejo where farmers continue to deliver grapes to wineries.
Outside Kakheti, grape collection is active in Lechkhumi, especially in Tsageri Municipality, where about 112 tonshave already been processed. The total harvest in the region is projected to reach around 1,400 tons this year, with smooth delivery to wine companies reported.
Meanwhile, harvesting in Racha has officially concluded, yielding a record 3,000 tons of grapes, all of which have been successfully stored.
