The Roads Department of Georgia has announced an international tender for the development of a new road maintenance strategy to ensure cost-effective management of the country’s road assets.
Part of the financing for the procurement will come from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) which is also funding the ongoing improvement of the Shorapani–Argveta section of Georgia’s East–West Highway.
The selected consultancy group will first be tasked with conducting road monitoring. Based on these findings, it will then develop a maintenance strategy and all relevant documents to ensure sustainable road asset management.
The winning consultancy will have 12 months to complete the work. The estimated value of the procurement stands at USD 882,750.
