A Declaration on the Establishment of the Georgia-Italy High-Level Dialogue will be signed today within the framework of Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili’s working visit to Rome.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the high-level dialogue will comprise defense and security, trade-economic and culture-education spheres.
“The format will give new impetus to our bilateral relations,” Darchiashvili said.
When assessing his visit to Italy, the FM said he spoke about the significance of Georgia’s European integration and EU candidate status during the meetings with the Italian parliament speaker and lawmakers.
“We received clear support from our colleagues, and I am sure the Italian parliament and the government will be actively involved in Georgia’s support process,” Darchiashvili stated.
