Georgia-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission to be held in Budapest on June 11

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is scheduled to pay an official visit to Hungary on June 11–12.

Georgian government administration says an official welcoming ceremony will take place on June 11 at the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Palace.

During the visit, Prime Minister Kobakhidze will hold a face-to-face meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, Viktor Orbán. Bilateral talks will also be held between members of the two countries’ Cabinets of Ministers.

As part of the visit, the second session of the Georgia-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission will be convened in Budapest. Several agreements are expected to be signed, covering cooperation in agriculture, energy, culture, innovation, and sports.

Following the session, prime ministers Kobakhidze and Orbán will hold a joint press conference.

In addition, the Georgian Prime Minister is set to meet with the President of Hungary and the Speaker of the National Assembly during his stay.
