The Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, James Cleverly, visited Georgia.
Before the official meetings planned within the visit, the Georgian colleague Ilia Darchiashvili hosted the guest in an informal environment.
The parties emphasized the importance of the mentioned visit and reviewed the important issues of cooperation between Georgia and the United Kingdom.
Darchiashvili responded to the visit of his British colleague on Twitter: Pleasure to welcome the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development, James Cleverly. While displaying mesmerizing views of night Tbilisi to my colleague, I had an opportunity to discuss a set of themes of Georgia and United Kingdom bilateral agenda with him. I’m sure, this visit will contribute to broadening cooperation between two countries.
It should be noted that within the framework of the visit, Cleverly will meet the Head of the Government of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili. In addition, he will visit the occupation line and learn about the current situation on the spot. The official meeting of the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries will be held on March 17.
