Georgia’s Roads Department has announced a GEL 41.5 million tender for the rehabilitation of a 19-kilometer of road connecting the areas of Ananuri and Pasanauri.
The project covers a stretch that begins south of the village of Ananuri, runs through Tsikhisdziri and Meneso, and ends northwest of Chartali, near a bridge over the Khandos River. Much of the route follows the Aragvi River, making it a main regional corridor.
The tender documentation shows that the upgraded road will be designed for a maximum speed of 60 km/h and will have a width ranging between 8 and 9 meters improve both safety and traffic flow.
The Roads Department has set strict qualification requirements for participating companies. Bidders must demonstrate experience in similar infrastructure projects, with completed works valued at no less than 80% of the current tender’s estimated cost. In addition, at least one previous contract must include similar work valued at a minimum of 20% of the project’s total value.
Interested companies can submit their proposals until April 30.
