Vakhtang Gomelauri, Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs, and Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, Deputy Minister, met with Christos Staikouras, Minister of Infrastructure of Greece, as part of their official visit to the country.
The officials signed a mutual agreement to recognize driving licenses issued in one another’s countries. The pact authorizes the acquisition of a valid document for citizens who obtained driving licenses in their home countries. The process will not include any practical or theoretical exams.
The agreement pertains to the following license categories: AM, A1, A2, A, B1, B, BE, C1, C, D1, D1E, D, DE, CE, and C1E.
Georgia has signed agreements of this kind with Spain and Ireland.
