The Georgian National Tourism Administration reports Gemo Fest is to be held in Georgia’s northwestern city of Ambrolauri.
The festival will be held on August 26-27 in the central park on Kostava Street in Ambrolauri, Racha.
Within the framework of the festival, guests will have the opportunity to buy and taste Rachuli, Lechkhumi, and Svanuri dishes. Local wine will also be presented at the festival. An entrepreneurial market, music and entertainment spaces will be organized.
Experienced chefs visited the villages of Racha, Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti and helped those willing to participate in the festival in the selection and visual decoration of dishes.
A training session was held for the participating families and food establishments in skills necessary for the festival, such as compliance with cleanliness norms, quick service, pricing, etc.
