The Georgian Dream faction will nominate Shalva Papuashvili for the position of Parliament Speaker, Mamuka Mdinaradze, the executive secretary of Georgian Dream, announced at today’s briefing.
Mdinaradze stated that the Political Council’s session today addressed budgetary issues. Regarding the presidential elections, Mdinaradze confirmed that the election date will be set in the coming days.
“We reviewed our budgetary matters, and as you know, we have ambitious plans in this area. The date for the presidential elections will be determined after the first session of Parliament. A specific deadline has been set, and we will announce the date in the coming days, once the first session is set in the Parliament,” Mdinaradze said.
Mdinaradze further confirmed that the candidate for Prime Minister will again be Irakli Kobakhidze.
