In January 2025, the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) registered 109 consumer complaints, an 80% increase compared to the previous year. Beyond registered complaints, the agency received 430 incoming calls, particularly about online trade concerns.

The GCCA confirmed that consumer rights were violated in five of these cases, with traders being fined in nine cases.
