“The booster dose can be used by anyone over the age of 18 who has been vaccinated with any vaccine,” said Tamar Gabunia, the deputy health minister.
She also noted that a person vaccinated with the Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccine could use the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine for a booster dose, or take a Pfizer dose. In the case of AstraZeneca, after six months, a person can additionally get a booster dose with Pfizer. As for people who are vaccinated with Pfizer, it is recommended to use the dose of Pfizer 6 months after the second vaccination.
Gabunia also noted that citizens over the age of 60 vaccinated with Sinopharma and Sinovac vaccines will be able to receive a booster dose not in 6 months after the second vaccination, but in the interval of 3 to 6 months.
