Fuel prices have climbed by 6 to 10 across Georgia, even as international oil prices began declining on June 23. Fuel companies attribute the increase to logistical disruptions related to instability in the Middle East, particularly tensions between Israel and Iran.
Despite the global market trend, local distributors say rising transport and supply chain costs are also influencing retail prices. Big fuel networks have already implemented price increases:
- Wissol (June 25): Prices rose by 6–7 tetri. Eco Super now costs GEL 3.45 and Eco Diesel stands at GEL 2.98.
- Gulf (June 24): All fuel types increased by 10 tetri. G-Force Super reached GEL 3.47 while Euro Diesel is GEL 2.93.
- Socar (June 25): Hikes of 5–10 tetri. Nano Super is GEL 3.45 and Nano Euro 5 Diesel is GEL 2.99.
Other brands show similar trends:
- Rompetrol: Super at GEL 3.45; Euro Diesel at GEL 2.86.
- Lukoil: Euro Super at GEL 3.44; Euro Regular at GEL 2.75.
- Portal: Super at GEL 2.99; Euro Regular at GEL 2.54.
Though some companies have not provided full transparency on pricing changes, industry analysts expect further adjustments within the next two to three weeks as the situation in the Middle East continues to have influence.
