It is a pity that we have come to this point, but we have always said that the responsibility would be personalized, – this is how the party Gakharia for Georgia responds to the statement of the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken.
The party appeals to the government and calls on it to withdraw the bill “On transparency of foreign influence”. The party claims that otherwise, the fate will be difficult, and the price they will have to pay will be high.
“Georgian Dream and its leader have destroyed all the achievements that were achieved during the years of this party’s rule. Ivanishvili, who acts only to protect his own money and power, cannot protect you from the fair reaction of the country’s strategic partners and the anger of the Georgian people, who are fighting for freedom and integration into the union of civilized states. You can’t extend your hand only to Ivanishvili. You still have a chance to recall the law and refuse to participate in the betrayal of the country: this is not only about you, you are also endangering the future of our children and destroying everything that the Georgian people have done in the last 30 years,” the party stated.
For information, the State Department is implementing a new visa restriction policy for Georgia that will apply to individuals responsible for or complicit in undermining democracy in Georgia, as well as their family members.
