Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said her visit to Israel focused on both regional developments and broader global political dynamics. She emphasized that Georgia’s relationship with Israel is rooted in longstanding, close ties between the two peoples.
“Georgia has its own historical relationship with Israel. Naturally, there are areas where our cooperation must continue to grow,” Bochorishvili noted, stressing that events in the region have a significant impact on global politics and must be monitored closely.
Minister claimed that the discussions covered regional and international affairs, as well as cooperation within international organisations. She highlighted the importance of maintaining continuous dialogue across multiple sectors.
Bochorishvili said Georgia is interested in strengthening cooperation with Israel in agriculture, education, healthcare, and trade. She also noted that Georgia remains a popular destination for Israeli tourists and that growing visitor numbers contribute to expanding economic ties.
She underscored that the increased frequency of ministerial-level visits between the two countries demonstrates the deepening partnership across various sectors.
