In the first quarter of the current year, the export of electricity from Georgia increased. In particular, in January-March, the country sold electricity worth 1.3 million USD, which is an annual increase of 1330%.
As for imports, electricity imports in Georgia have become more expensive. The country paid 1.9 million USD for electricity in the three months of 2024.
It should also be noted that along with the volume, the number of export markets has also increased.
