Former Minister of Defense Davit Kezerashvili released a statement claiming he has no and never had any connection with the call centers described in the investigative material published on the BBC.
He claims that he will use all legal levers to confirm “both the inaccuracy of the facts and the wrongness of the assumptions resulting from their misinterpretation” in the material published on the platform of the British Public Broadcaster, and “it will not take much time”.
“Despite the fact that I consider the British Public Broadcasting as a media outlet of high journalistic standard, this is the case when I have many questions with the publication about issues related to me. I declare with absolute responsibility that I have never participated in such schemes, therefore I am not going to ignore the damage that this material causes me, especially in the background when politicized justice is being carried out against me by the Georgian authorities, and against the television company Formula created with my participation, there is a campaign attack by the ruling party, which is recognized by a number of international organizations and in the reports of the US State Department.
I will use all legal leverage to prove both the inaccuracy of the facts and the false assumptions made as a result of their misinterpretation in the material published on the British Public Broadcasting platform, and it will not take long. I have also always expressed my readiness, and I am still ready today, for the cooperation with the investigation structures of European countries on the subject of so-called call centers, especially since my place of residence as a person in political exile is Great Britain, whose justice system no one doubts,” Kezerashvili’s statement reads.
