Rikard Jozwiak of Radio Free Europe disclosed that the European Commission is preparing a letter warning Georgia of a possible suspension of its visa-free travel to the EU.
While the Commission can issue the warning, the final decision must be made by EU member states through a qualified majority vote.
The news raises concerns over Georgia’s political direction, particularly after the adoption of the controversial ‘foreign agents’ law.
