For the second consecutive year, TBC stands as the main supporter of the scholarship program initiated by the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia (AmCham) and MAC Georgia (McLain Association for Children). This initiative aims to provide higher education opportunities for socially vulnerable students across Georgia.
Thanks to TBC’s financial contribution, 10 students from socially disadvantaged families will pursue higher education at Georgian universities, joining a total of 65 scholarship recipients under the program. Selection criteria include social status, national exam results, motivation letters, and interviews, ensuring that the most deserving candidates benefit from this opportunity.
In addition to TBC, approximately 30 AmCham member companies support the program. Beyond funding, partner organizations offer invaluable resources such as paid internships, professional training, English language courses, and office skills development, helping students prepare for successful careers.
“I am proud to represent both institutions—the American Chamber of Commerce as its Vice President, and TBC, which has been the main partner of this educational initiative for two years,” said George Tkhelidze, Deputy General Director of TBC and Vice President of AmCham. “This program, which provides scholarships to 65 students, aligns perfectly with TBC’s core corporate social responsibility focus: education. As the creators of the TBC Education initiative, we are committed to empowering young people. Last year alone, we enabled over 4,600 students to develop skills they are passionate about and helped more than 100 find employment.”
This partnership between TBC, AmCham, and MAC Georgia reflects a shared dedication to investing in Georgia’s future through education and professional development.
