The Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a public warning aimed at preventing forest and field fires, calling on citizens to exercise heightened civic responsibility when spending time in nature.
The agency says weather conditions are expected to remain dry throughout the coming week, while forest and field vegetation has significantly dried out, creating an elevated risk of fire outbreaks.
“We strongly advise against lighting fires on agricultural land, near forested areas, or in open fields, and we underscore the importance of never leaving any fire source unattended. Failure to follow these recommendations may lead to appropriate legal measures,” the Service stated.
Citizens are urged to immediately contact the Public Safety Management Center by dialing 112 if they notice smoke or signs of fire.
