Public Safety Management Center “112” received a missing person’s report about a citizen who had been skiing in fresh snow near Gudauri. His relatives could not find him, the Emergency Management Service reports.
“Rescuers of the Kazbegi Division of the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs responded to the message immediately.
“At a location indicated by relatives, rescuers found several small avalanches and began a search with service cynologists. Rescuers from the Mountain Resorts Development Company were also involved in the process.
“The body of the skiier was found and removed from the snow,” the statement says.
