Education and Science Committee Develop Action Plan for 2022 at Offsite Meeting

The Committee held an offsite meeting in Borjomi and developed an Action Plan for 2022 and the strategic planning aspects. MPs overviewed the report on activity for 2021.

The Chair, Giorgi Amilakhvari dwelt on the instruments of the thematic rapporteurs, the effective application of which was established in 2021, including in the course of the Scientific-Advisory Councils at the Committee.

MPs stressed the thematic inquiry “COVID-19 Pandemic Impact on General Education” and the changes to the Law on Early and Pre-School Education ensuring the authorization of the pre-school institutions.

The Committee discussed the survey concerning the needs of the Uniform Code on Education and Science. During the two-day working meeting, MPs overviewed the expediency of consideration of the priority legal initiatives in 2022 and the oversight activity, determined the public relations efficiency measures and discussed the development of the Education and Science Code.

MPs assigned the thematic rapporteurs and co-rapporteurs on certain issues.
