The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reported that the country will gain a new direct air connection to Northern Europe this summer as flights between Tbilisi and Copenhagen are announced to begin on June 27, 2026. The route will be operated by Norwegian Air Sweden, part of the Scandinavian low-cost carrier Norwegian.
Based on the airline’s application submitted to the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, direct flights will initially operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From August 15, the schedule will shift to Wednesdays and Sundays.
The airline received official authorization to operate the route on March 23.
Copenhagen Airport is one of the region’s major transit hubs, offering Georgian passengers expanded travel options to other European and transatlantic destinations via connecting flights.
