The Dighomi Meadows Neighborhood Initiative is inviting the English-speaking community to an open-air environmental event – ‘Dighomi Meadows at the frontline of the ecological crisis.’
The event aims to draw attention to the ecological crisis of the Dighomi meadows; discuss existing challenges of environmental protection, and map possible solutions to the complex problem.
The meeting includes a walking tour to the mining site and a discussion session over a small Apéro. The working language is English.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 28, from 4 to 6 pm, on the territory of the Dighomi Meadows, located in Tbilisi, meeting up at Bob Welsh St. 30.
The Dighomi Meadows Neighborhood Initiative has been working to save, restore and protect the landscape and biodiversity of the unique riparian forest of Tbilisi, which was destroyed by large-scale illegal waste dumping and resource extraction in 2020.
