Partnership for Human Rights announces that the Tbilisi City Court made a historic decision at their request. Free dental services under anesthesia have become available to all persons with behavioral challenges and/or communication difficulties.
Some people with disabilities can receive dental care only under the influence of anesthesia. Anesthesia is expensive, dental services under anesthesia may cost 1,000 GEL.
Resolution part of the decision:
‘Instruct the Government of Georgia to establish a mechanism (to adopt the relevant administrative-legal act), which Without, immediately, without a 30-day waiting period, will fund all cases where there is so-called general anesthesia for behavioral challenges and/or communication disabilities.
