Government Administration reports Delegation of FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange, being the largest platform of cryptocurrency trading, held meetings at the Georgian Inventions and Technology Agency (GITA) within the scope of its Working Visit to the country.
Ryan Salem, CEO of FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange and Michelle Bond, CEO of the Association for Digital Asset Markets (ADAM) met Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of GITA.
The focus of the meeting was made on the success stories of Georgia in the development of an innovative ecosystem in the country. The performance of successful Georgian start-ups, including those operating in the crypto and Blockchain segment, was reviewed as they gained exposure to the global market. Avtandil Kasradze highlighted that the success of Georgian start-ups is a very important additional stream of revenues for the economy of the country and it is the priority of the Government of Georgia (GOG) to stimulate it.
Delegation of FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange also met Georgian start-ups operating in the crypto segment. Prospects of the future partnership were discussed in a meeting with them. CEO of ADAM stressed that young Georgian start-ups have the possibility of quickly gaining international recognition and access to global resources and funding.
Delegation members, who are visiting the country at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Georgia, held meetings with Irakli Garibashvili himself and representatives of various public and private sector institutions.
Garibashvili met Sam Bankman Fried (aka SBF), Founder and CEO of FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) and suggested Georgia to be considered for regional footage and consumer service center to cover a wider region.
Based on the official data, the net worth of FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange is 40 billion USD and is owned by SBF, who is the wealthiest person in the crypto world with a personal net worth of 22.5 billion USD. SBF has declared that most of his assets are intended for charity and philanthropy.
