The Delegation of the EU Integration Committee headed by the Chair, Maka Botchorishvili serves the visit to Bucharest, Romania; within the visit, the meetings were held with the representatives of the legislative and executive authorities.
In view of the enhancement of cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries and facilitation of the EU integration of Georgia, meetings were held with the Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies Vasile-Daniel Suciu, the Chair of the European Affairs Committee, Ștefan Moșoiu and the Committee members.
Meetings were as well held with the State Secretaries for the European and Strategic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania; the main issue deliberated on the meeting concerned the progress and expectations of Georgia at the EU integration path, sharing Romanian experience in the EU relations, as well as the enhancement of the economic ties and ensuring the Black Sea connectivity and security.
Romanian MPs expressed their support to the EU membership of Georgia and pledged to actively support Georgia in this process.
