The delegation of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs is visiting Georgia. Members of the delegation will start their meetings in Tbilisi from today.
The issues to be discussed within the framework of the meetings will be the annual report on Georgia’s implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union and the application made by the country regarding the EU candidate status.
Within the framework of the visit, the members of the delegation will meet with the President of Georgia, the Public Defender, the non-governmental sector, as well as representatives of the executive power and the opposition.
The delegation is led by the Chairman of the Committee, David McAllister.
Apart from Georgia, MEPs will also visit Armenia and Azerbaijan.
