Opposition MP Khatia Dekanoidze responded to Russia’s decision to cancel the visa regime for Georgian citizens, noting Putin’s decision to “reward” the Georgian government by lifting the ban on flights, air travel and visa restrictions, and so as to strengthen the Kremlin’s influence.
“Putin’s decisions concern Georgia and this is a disaster. It is a reward for the policy pursued by the Georgian authorities in recent months, especially after February 24- the policy Georgian authorities, Georgian Dream, and Bidzina Ivanishvili have been conducting in the country after Russia’s large-scale aggression in Ukraine. This is anti-Western and anti-Ukraine policy,” Dekanoidze stated.
She said everyone should be aware, especially the airlines ,that complying with Putin’s wishes will have them included in the sanctions that have been imposed and become even stronger after February 24.
