Daushvili: ‘For Georgia’ party will take into account the President’s call regarding the presence in the hall during the impeachment procedure

Mikheil Daushvili, deputy of the For Georgia party, says they will take into account the President’s call regarding the presence in the hall during the impeachment procedure.

In addition, as Daushvili told journalists, they believed and still believe that it is correct to express one’s position by pressing the red button during the impeachment vote.

“We thought and we think it would be the right step to enter the hall and express our position by pressing the red button. As for yesterday’s request or call, we will take it into account. I don’t know what plan and task the President has, but we will take this request and call into account”, said Mikheil Daushvili.

As for the President’s statement that she will not resign, Mikheil Daushvili says that the President should not resign.

“Of course, she should not resign and neither should he resign. She should continue the fight to help the country in the process of European integration”, said Mikheil Daushvili.

He also evaluated the President’s statement that the judges of the Constitutional Court should be ashamed.

“It is important that what the President of Georgia was doing served the European integration of the country. Whatever process Dream initiated, it was an attempt to impeach European integration, and what the court did serves the interests of Dream.

If these judges feel bullied, that’s their problem. Today, the court has turned into an organization acting in the interests of Dream and not a state institution acting in the interests of the citizens of our country”, said Mikheil Daushvili.

The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, made a statement about the decision of the Constitutional Court yesterday, noting that “I am heartbroken, although nothing surprises me anymore in this country. In addition, the President said that she is not going to resign.
