Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 337 New Cases, 10 Deaths

Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 337 New Cases, 10 Deaths

Georgia reported 337 new coronavirus cases, 320 recoveries, and 10 deaths on Friday, official figures show.

As part of intensive testing, 25,436 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 17,311 antigen tests and 8,125 PCRs.

Out of 337 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 175 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 17, Imereti – 37, Kvemo Kartli – 15, Shida Kartli – 21, Guria – 13, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 33, Kakheti – 18, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 5, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 1, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 2.

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 270,137, among them 264 047 people recovered and 3 485 died.

Currently, there are 2,579 active cases of infection in the country.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1, 32 %, while 2, 03% over the past week.

304 people are placed in quarantine areas, including 92 in Tbilisi and 86 in Adjara.
