Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 133 New Cases, 10,678 Tests Performed

Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 133 New Cases, 10,678 Tests Performed

Georgia reported 133 coronavirus cases, 276 recoveries, and 12 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

10,678 tests were performed in 24 hours, including 5456 antigen tests and 5222 PCRs.

Testing revealed that out of 133 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 78 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 3, Imereti – 20, Kvemo Kartli – 1, Shida Kartli – 8, Guria – 3, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 14, Kakheti – 2, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 1, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 1, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 2.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1,25%, while it was 1,65% in the past 14 days.

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country has reached 271,872, of which 266,081 people recovered and 3553 have died.

Currently, there are 2238 active cases of infection in the country.

Presently, 316 people are in quarantine, 1426 under supervision in hospitals, while 150 people are placed in COVID hotels.
