A major milestone has been reached in Georgia’s capital as construction officially begins on “MAQRO City Tbilisi,” a multifunctional complex that aims to transform the concept of modern living. Envisioned as a “City within a City,” this ambitious project will combine residential, commercial, business, and recreational spaces within one unified district offering a new, self-sufficient way of life for its future residents.

A Self-Sufficient Urban District

Located on a 10-hectare land area, MAQRO City Tbilisi stands out for both its impressive scale and its innovative urban concept. The project has been designed as a self-sufficient complex, meaning that residents will have access to everything they need without leaving the development, from living and working spaces to leisure, recreation, and everyday services.

The idea behind the project is to go beyond the traditional notion of a residential complex. Instead, MAQRO City Tbilisi aims to create a fully functioning district where modern infrastructure, convenience, and green spaces come together to form a balanced and comfortable urban environment.

Half the Territory Devoted to Greenery and Recreation

One of the defining characteristics of MAQRO City Tbilisi is its focus on green and open spaces. Nearly half of the project’s entire territory, approximately 5 hectares will be dedicated to landscaped areas and recreation zones. This commitment to greenery distinguishes MAQRO City Tbilisi from most large-scale developments in the region.

The plan includes four swimming pools, cycling and running paths, indoor and outdoor fitness areas, as well as basketball and tennis courts, and public squares designed for community gatherings and leisure. These features aim to create an environment that promotes both physical well-being and social interaction, blending active and relaxing lifestyles within a natural setting.

A Multifunctional Complex for Every Need

MAQRO City Tbilisi will encompass up to 4,000 residential apartments, offering a wide selection of living options within the complex. But the project extends far beyond residential development. It will also include:

  • Commercial spaces, providing convenient access to shops, cafes, and everyday services;
  • A modern business center, creating opportunities for professionals and entrepreneurs;
  • An international brand hotel Mövenpick Living, which will bring globally recognized standards of hospitality to the district.

This carefully planned infrastructure ensures that MAQRO City Tbilisi functions as more than just a housing development it becomes a complete community with all the elements of urban life in one location.

Redefining Comfort and Quality of Life

The combination of large-scale planning, abundant green spaces, and full infrastructure makes MAQRO City Tbilisi a truly unique project for Tbilisi. While many developments focus primarily on residential density, this complex gives equal importance to open space, recreation, and quality of life.

By dedicating half of its area to greenery and designing diverse amenities for all ages and lifestyles, MAQRO City Tbilisi responds to growing demand for balanced urban living, where residents can enjoy the comfort of modern infrastructure without sacrificing access to nature and open air.

A Step Toward the Future of Tbilisi’s Urban Landscape

The launch of construction marks the beginning of a new stage in Tbilisi’s urban evolution. MAQRO City Tbilisi reflects a shift toward integrated, sustainable, and human-centered development an approach that considers not only architecture and infrastructure but also how people live, move, and interact within the city.

Once completed, this “City within a City” is expected to become one of Tbilisi’s landmark developments not only for its scale and concept, but also for its contribution to shaping a modern, livable urban environment.

As construction progresses, MAQRO City Tbilisi stands as a strong example of how thoughtful planning and innovation can come together to create a new model of urban living a space where life, work, and leisure coexist in harmony, surrounded by the comfort of modern infrastructure and the tranquility of green, open areas.
