‘Kaladze, Get Out of your Ferrari’ – Cleaning & Waste Management Service Workers Go on Strike

Employees of Tbilservice Group have gone on strike. The representatives of the cleaning service claim that the management of the company has changed the terms of the contract and they are now working in much more difficult conditions.

Furthermore, they say they have to work with faulty vehicles and inappropriate uniforms.

The protesters are gathered near the office of Tbilservice Group in Tbilisi and demand a meeting with the company’s representatives and Mayor Kakha Kaladze, otherwise, they plan to stop working.

“They did not reduce our working hours, they increased them, and actually reduced our salaries. We are in the trash from morning till night and who is responsible for all this?! Mr. Kaladze should come, follow us, see what the situation is and we will see if he will be satisfied or not,” said one of the protesters.

“Kaladze should get out of his Lamborghini and Ferrari, go through the city, see how much the products cost and whether the 744 GEL we get as a salary is enough to make a living,” another protester added.
